2026 Term 2: Mon 20th Apr - Fri 26th June

Monday 1st June Newsletter

June 1, 2015

At this time of year we swing into across the school preparations for Winter’s Night: Singing, music, dance around the winter hearth,  magically woven through the  lessons of the day. There will also be the usual candle making and lantern making. This year, we are   planning an orchestral spectacular of The Shining, arranged by Paul Smith.  This will be a collaboration of our instrument programme. Amy Jenkin has been working in class 2/3 to create “the nymphs”, which are hatching at this time of year deep in the swampy earth. She will also be working with classes to create an illuminated swamp using eco dyeing, weaving and sculpting. If you would like to help, speak with your class teacher.
