Our spring celebration brought the Kindlehill School community together for a joyful morning of storytelling, singing, dancing and musical performances.
As a Steiner school, celebrating the seasons, cycles and equinoxes is an important part of our education. These shared moments invite children to connect with the rhythms of the natural world and express that connection through music, movement and stories.
They also bring two of our school’s pillars to life: community and earth-centredness. Gathering children, teachers and families strengthens our sense of belonging, while recognising the changing seasons nurtures our connection to the Earth and its rhythms.
For our spring celebration, the Performance Space was awash with gold, with the children reflecting the golden light of the warmer days ahead. There was plenty of joy as families gathered to enjoy the performances and celebrate the changing season together.
First of all the children sang some songs and did some spring time dances to the music.
We heard some stories around the Spring season. Then the orchestra played some more music and then the parents and teachers joined in for a dance. It was a jovial and warm way to bring in the warmer weather.
The video below offers a glimpse of the stories, music, dancing and fun that made the morning so special. The link will lead to instagram and if you feel like it, please follow us over there.
A heartfelt thank you to all the families who joined us. Your presence helped make it a beautiful celebration of spring and our school community.
