HIROSHIMA DAY THURSDAY 6TH AUGUST

September 4, 2015

On Thursday 6th August we had our visitors with us, we also commemorated Hiroshima Day. Sayoko has put together a beautiful programme for this day including a sushi and miso lunch.

The preparation for Peace Day on 6th of August at Kindlehill was on the way. The children and students in every class had been learning new songs that convey the energy of life, freedom and world peace. The students from class 6/7 and High School  have also learnt to express the beauty of life and unity in the Japanese traditional poetry, Haiku accompanied by a simple ink painting Sumie.  Through these art forms, they are also learning to let the silence and simplicity speak; which leads to our inner peace. There will be some students’ reciting their poetry, items of music and movement celebrated with special guests from China, Taiwan and Japan after Japanese lunch.  No   better opportunity than this to reassure the harmony and friendship in the world.
