2026 Term 2: Mon 20th Apr - Fri 26th June

Music Brings us Together for Winter’s Night

May 6, 2026

Winter’s Night – save the date. This year Winter’s Night will be on Friday 19thJune. Pop it in your diaries now!

Elizabeth and I warmly invite you to join a whole-school community musical ensemble performing together late in Term 2.

We’ll be reimagining Walking on Sunshine by Kimberley Rew (very loosely!): https://youtu.be/FrCbYoX3YeQ?si=z4hlAo3Cw1vs1DsU

All instruments are welcome—string, wind, brass, percussion, or even spoons! Elizabeth will provide music scores, you’ll practise at home, and we’ll gather 2–3 times during the term to rehearse. The focus is purely on sharing music together—no need to worry about ability.

Not an instrumentalist? An adult choir will also run in Term 2.

This is a chance to gather, listen, and create together as winter approaches. If you’d like to take part, please reply to me shaila@kindlehill.nsw.edu.au or elizabeth.cooney@kindlehill.nsw.edu.au.

We would love to share this musical journey with you. All are welcome to join the Staff ensemble on Wednesdays 3.30pm-4pm. Three other rehearsal times will be confirmed shortly – either on weekends or in the evening

In anticipation of something wonderful,
S’haila
