Kindy have been immersed in the world of the Giant Dragonfly this term. We are lucky enough that they often visit our Kindy Garden during summer, and it is beautiful to watch the children pause their play and look to the skies when someone calls “Dragonfly”. Big Kindy have made dragonflies that now adorn our Kindy room, and last week we painted the Lake view through binoculars.

As we welcome in the Autumn, we start to look to the ground rather than the skies. We are finding tiny mushrooms, and the ants are busy preparing for the cold.

In the Kindy Garden we look to and marvel the changes occurring throughout the year. Each change is so significant and not to be missed! Much like the changes we see in the Kindy child. Watching them unfold, what will we see next?

Kirsty has completed Studies of Anthroposophy and Rudolf Steiner Education (Early Childhood) at the Sydney Rudolf Steiner College, and a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) from James Cook University. She joined Kindlehill in 2008 as a Kindergarten assistant and has been Kindergarten Teacher since 2013.
