Senior High School is thrilled to invite you to the opening night of SEEN, our student-run portrait photography exhibition at Gallery ONE88 in Katoomba. 

In its second year, SEEN seeks to support youth mental health by creating meaningful ways for young people to connect in our community. We have promoted the project through Blue Mountains high schools and the home school community, inviting young people to create a portrait of themselves or a friend that affirms identity and breaks down stereotypes about young people.

Our question to participants was how do you want to be SEEN?

We are exhibiting 19 works, including 12 stunning portraits of our year 7 students created in a workshop last week with Adam and Steph.

We really hope that you can join us for the opening. Last year’s event was a heartwarming evening that celebrated the creativity of young people and the power of community.

The exhibition is open 10am-5pm Thursday to Monday, until Monday November 10.

Georgia Adamson High School Drama Teacher

Georgia is a professional actor who has worked extensively across theatre, film and tv. Most recently, she played Sal Thornhill in Sydney Theatre Company’s production of The Secret River at the 2019 Edinburgh International Festival and the National Theatre in London. Georgia is a passionate teacher and has taught for Sydney Theatre Company and Bell Shakespeare Company, in juvenile justice centres and through her own business, Blue Mountains Drama.
