At Kindlehill we offer an extensive PDHPE Personal Development and program, through a mixture of both practical and theoretical lessons. We also offer the world renowned ‘Rock and Water’ program to our students, aimed at building resilience, self-control and self-confidence.
In our theoretical lesson students will learn about a range of age-appropriate topics which are tailored to each cohort of students from the perspective of both need and interest.
These include:

- personal identity
- mental health and wellbeing
- alcohol and other drugs
- relationships
- sexuality and sexual health
- safety
- health benefits of physical activity
In our practical PE lessons, students have access to a wide range of activities and opportunities. With the Wentworth Falls Lake on our doorstep, we are able to offer a range of activities during the warmer months. These include kayaking, paddle polo, water volleyball, water polo and swimming.

Since completing a Bachelor of Education in Human Movement and Health Education (USYD) in 2003, Lindsey has had extensive experience as a PDHPE teacher in public and independent schools in Sydney and the Blue Mountains. Lindsey joined Kindlehill in 2019 and has recently been appointed as the School’s Award Leader for the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award.
