Senior School is now collaborating with the whole School to meet our target in fundraising to reduce plastic usage in Katoomba St cafes.
- Holy Moly Icy Poly, Tuesdays 19th and 19th November. Children bring in paper money to contribute to a reduced plastic world in exchange for an icy pole.
- Happy Snaps, class photos silly and serious on Thursday 14th November. Proceeds go to the Send Plastic Packing Campaign.
- House Concert with gorgeous singer/songwriters Sarah Humphreys and Guinnie Isla also in support of the project (see below).
- Rosie’s Yesterday Store in Katoomba is celebrating their one year anniversary, with Kristen Lee Morris playing, and collecting donations for the project.
We would love for all families to participate in this fundraising venture. We are so close to making this happen and just need a little more. How good will it feel to know Katoomba will be the first café street strip to convert to a system that reduces their plastic 2 litre bottle plastic consumption by 80%? In 5 years, we will save 6.3 tonnes of plastic from the waste stream.
