Australian Surf Life Saving included Kindlehill in their Beach to Bush programme, held in November 2012. All primary classes at the school enjoyed practical and inspiring workshops on beach safety – including safe swimming, how to identify safe or dangerous conditions, creatures to observe in the ocean (both friendly and not-so-friendly), and general beach awareness. The children had a wonderful time and were each provided with booklets to take home.
