Kindlehill Primary School have been decorating leaves as a part of the Blue Mountains Regeneration Inter-school Art Project. This project is run by the Blue Mountains Cultural Centre and describes the project as “a way to creatively reflect on stories of resilience and growth in the face of bush fire”.
A collaborative artwork will be made from thousands of leaves decorated to represent the burning and regeneration of local resilient plant species during and after bush fires. The resulting installation will be displayed in the foyer of the Blue Mountains Cultural Centre during the summer school holidays.
