At Kindlehill, we are very fortunate to have Libby Gahl as our High School Literacy Support Teacher.
Libby begins her work with students by engaging in in-depth conversations to understand their perspectives and identify the areas of learning they find most challenging. Through this process, she identifies appropriate adjustments and provides recommendations to subject teachers on how each student can be best supported within the classroom.
Libby also works with students in one-to-one sessions. Their work focuses strongly on writing skills and the development of clear, thoughtful responses to ideas, prompts, and questions encountered across the curriculum.
Libby’s commitment to supporting students’ confidence and capacity as learners truly makes a difference.
And if that weren’t enough, Libby has also been a long-standing volunteer with the Rural Fire Brigade. More recently, she’s been spotted driving some very big trucks through the mountains — a remarkable contribution to our wider community.

Kindlehill School is a K-10 Steiner School that sits on a hill above the Wentworth Falls Lake, in the Blue Mountains, NSW. We are an independant school working creatively and in a contemporary way, out of the foundation of Rudolf Steiner’s philosophy for education.
