Class 8–9 under the expert and ever adaptable genius of Georgia our drama teacher, have commenced filming an adaptation of Romeo & Juliet yesterday. Given the restrictions and time in lock down, a decision was made to transform what would have been a live performance into a exciting online event.
We will have a screening toward the end of term. Meantime, look out for cameras, action in graffiti lane of Katoomba, the old church and other interesting venues.
Georgia would like to thank everyone, students, parents, venue sponsors, extra film crew including Gary and Catherine, for their support, skills and flexibility. And of course thank you Georgia, your heart and soul always poured without measure into the Kindlehill drama chalice!
Originally a high school teacher in the public system, Lynn has also taught at TAFE and in community settings. In the Steiner context, she has previously been a kindergarten and primary school teacher. In addition to her roles as Chair and Principal, Lynn is High School Co-Ordinator, teaches Geography and History, and co-ordinates the Outdoor Education Programme. Lynn has a B. Arts (UWA) and a Dip. Ed. (WA Secondary Teachers College).
