High School Artworks in Portrait Exhibition 2023
Kindlehill High School has been invited to exhibit ten artworks in the Cultural Centre’s ‘Blue Mountains Portraits’ in February next year. Whilst Class 9-10 have been creating self-portraits in a variety of media (Alina’s lino print is pictured), members of Class 7-8 have worked on a beautiful graphite and charcoal patchwork drawing of our soon to depart Class 1-2 teacher Pippita, honouring her twenty years at our school.
High School Zine Update
We have just been advised that Good Earth Bookshop in Wentworth Falls has sold over $30 worth of our students’ zines! This week, Class 7-8 will take a walk down to the bookshop to see their zines on display, and use their credit to help choose either a book, graphic novel or board game that all of High School can enjoy. As they also sell secondhand books and games, we may return with quite a few items!
Final Camp for Class 9-10
This morning, Class 9-10 headed off to Patonga on their final camp as a cohort. Guided by PDHPE teacher Lindsay and parent and outdoor educator Dave, the students will enjoy three days of swimming and kayaking, returning on Wednesday afternoon to complete their last two days of school before Year 10 graduate on Sunday.
Stephanie has completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts (COFA, UNSW), a Bachelor of Communications (UTS) and a Graduate Diploma in Secondary Education (Monash). She has a pre-teaching background in the arts, public affairs and publishing, and taught in London and Sydney before joining Kindlehill in 2017.
