Imagine paddling across a glossy river the world carefully reproduced upside down, the moonlight shimmering on the water next to your camp while you share your meal, waking to mist rising from the valley…
These are just a few of the beautiful moments from our recent canoe camp at Kangaroo Valley. My favourite part was the sound of laughter ringing across the river. There was a LOT of it!
We canoed 21km, learnt to capsize and rescue, jumped of rocks, camped under a big bright moon, swam a lot, cooked our own meals (and had an on-river canoe picnic) and experienced water to its fullest!
3 action packed days where young folk experience their resilience, strength and capacity to work together with each other and the powerful element of water.
It was AWESOME!

“One of the most exciting things when working to support students, is when they find something that they are passionate about, that they really connect to. Finding ways to support their engagement and the depth of their learning is incredibly rewarding. As a teacher, it is a pleasure to be working in an environment where creativity, critical thinking and a real sense of love for the world is valued and imbues all you do”.
