Some highlights from the High School Art Camp:
- The resilience shown by everyone setting up in the heat!
- The collaboration in creating art from nature by the creek
- The evening light on the towering escarpment
- Peeking over student’s shoulders while they worked away in charcoal (made in the previous nights fire), pencil and watercolour
- Playing games around the fire
- Everyone swimming in the creek together!
The theme was connecting, and there were so many threads woven between young people, the water, the land and our own creativity.
We will have some of the work on display at the coming fair!

Sarah has a B. Arts (UN) and a Master of Teaching (UNE). She works both as a teacher and as student support throughout the school.
“One of the most exciting things when working to support students, is when they find something that they are passionate about, that they really connect to. Finding ways to support their engagement and the depth of their learning is incredibly rewarding. As a teacher, it is a pleasure to be working in an environment where creativity, critical thinking and a real sense of love for the world is valued and imbues all you do”.
