Classes 4-5 and 6 reached dizzying heights in their performance of their madcap musical melodrama before a rapturous audience who participated with enthusiastic cheers and boos. The Gooder-than-Goodies sung their pure hearts out, the Badder-than-Baddies were brilliantly inept, the heroine was sweet and courageous, and the hero was a brilliant dill. The Grannies were confused, but could always be counted on to swoon over, or swing a handbag at, a villain. Some scenes were suspiciously superfluous, and the wild-eyed Lyrecta-the-Directa pulled it all together while having a nervous breakdown.
All of the children were enthusiastic, determined, stage commanding, sweet and raucous singing, dramatic performers. They were melodramatic to the max!
