Buran Nalgarra- Strength and Learning Through Togetherness
Following on from our very enthusiastically received Mt Vic Flicks launch of Senior School to the wider community of change makers in the Blue Mountains, we are delighted to celebrate the launch of our Senior School project with the full and hearty support of our wonderful School community on Wednesday, 24th May at 7pm.
From the beginning, Kindlehill has been an innovator in education, responding to the need to live and learn differently, in relationship to the times, and the place and community that we are in.
At the launch, we very much want to plant the seed for a different impulse in Senior School education with our courageous and supportive School community which has always been the beating heart of Kindlehill.
To demonstrate the innovative approach to Senior School, we will screen Michael Joy’s beautiful and moving film, A Murmuration. This tells the story of Healing Home, an impactful collaboration of High School students, staff, families and wider community members.
Our Senior School is an alternative to the HSC offer to the Blue Mountains community. Learning will be centred around engaging with real world problems alongside those in our community who are focused on ecological and social change.
The film is approximately 40 minutes and there will speakers either side. Young people’s voices will be very much centred at the launch both artistically and in presentations.
