Murray has been a Director of Kindlehill for around half the life of Kindlehill! In this role, as a board director and as someone from the wider community (not a staff member or parent), Murray’s visibility in the school has not been prominent. However, his commitment and love for our school are woven into many developments over the past 10 years including the Aboriginal Scholarship program and the development and resourcing of the High School.
Murray was a founding parent of the Mumbulla Steiner School and he has been a business manager for the Blue Mountains Steiner School. His interest in Kindlehill and its 21st century contemporary implementation of the Steiner pedagogy, drew him into the role of Director. His courage to see initiatives resourced, his counsel in holding us to account in the context of the guiding vision and values of the school, and his work with the College to improve our communication skills, has been highly valued and effective.
Murray has also been a key enabler for the school in meeting the tidal wave of ICT obligations especially in privacy and data security.
Murray will continue to be a Member of Kindlehill School, to be part of the wise counsel and cherishing of the developments of Kindlehill School into the future.
Deep gratitude and respect to you, Murray.
