2026 Term 2: Mon 20th Apr - Fri 26th June

Shadow Rangers

April 28, 2026

We are excited to share with you that our School is part of the Shadow Rangers Program. Below is some information for you about the intention and details of the program.

The Junior Shadows Rangers Program offers Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students a unique opportunity to connect with their culture and engage in environmental learning on Country. Through hands-on activities, students will gain knowledge about traditional land management practices, cultural care for Country, and environmental stewardship. The program also supports curriculum outcomes and provides pathways for future opportunities in environmental conservation and cultural leadership, fostering pride in identity and a sense of responsibility for Ngurra (Country).

We will have the opportunity to visit a significant cultural site, engage in Dharug language, storytelling, and participate in ranger activities that foster a deep respect for Ngurra (Country) and its living culture.

Please look out for additional information from your class teacher or guardians.

Handprints stencilled on rough bark honour the deep cultural connection and spiritual belonging Kindlehill students share with Country.

We support the Uluru Statement from the Heart, Truth telling about the impact and legacy of colonisation, a Voice to Parliament enshrined in the Australian Constitution and a process of Treaty making.
