Surveying Connection to Place as we Learn and Live Together with Climate Change

June 12, 2024

Love and gratitude for the place we live in, can be deeply motivating in enabling our community to address the impacts of climate change.

Senior students recently conducted a small survey of staff and high school students about their connection to the Blue Mountains environment and community.

We asked: How connected to place are you How does connection to place influence your life?
Additionally, we wanted to find out if there were differences between generations.

Key finding:
We were interested to find that in our limited survey, both generations reported high interest and engagement with the Blue Mountains environment and community. Both placed value on experiencing nature, and on the importance of protecting it and addressing the impacts of climate change.  Follow the link for our specific findings https://Connecting to Place – a survey by Year 11 students of Kindlehill | Kindlehill Senior School Blog
