Year 10 Studies in Peace Building

June 22, 2021

In our studies of Peace Building, Class 10 students took on the mammoth tasks of researching key human rights issues of our time, understanding the complexities behind these and using their individual voices to call for social change. The titles alone reveal to you that this young generation have a social conscience that is global and yet is grounded in their personal lives.

We began our studies on Peace Building, exploring the idea of Sanctuary, not only as a place of rest and safety; but as a place for the shared exchange of ideas and ideals, of grief and disillusionment, and of potential for change and hope grounded in how we choose to live our individual lives.

These are powerful and impassioned voices, resonant with the complexities of living authentically amidst global crises that impinge on the lives of planet and people. They are unpacking their thoughts and questions about what is happening in the world. Together they call for hearts and minds, to deeply realise that change is not only possible but necessary.
