On Thursday evening last week Class 6-7 hosted our Graduation Farewell Party. The whole event was in the hands of very competent young people, and it was a fantastic evening full of fun music, old photos, yummy food and lots of gratitude!

The speeches given were absolutely awesome: there were memories, stories, comedy routines, heartfelt considerations and beautiful moments I will hold in my heart forever.
 
Here are three of the many things I have learnt from teaching exceptional and unique students:

• A pot of tea shared can do wonders!
• Listen with love, speak with integrity
• Everyone is in the band!

Thank you to all the parents of Class 6-7 for your support and a BIG thank you for the perfect gifts.

When a dark cloud full of thunder and lightening darkens my day, I breathe in deeply and quietly say,

“the sun is always shining, even when there’s a storm, after wind and drenching rain there is a rainbow warm.
After torrent and tempest there is a silver lining. A radiant rainbow appears, the sun is always shining”.

With a B. Arts (Social Ecology) and a Master of Teaching (UWS), S’haila has been at Kindlehill since 2001 when she came to a Spring Open Day with her children – and stayed! Since then, she has variously been Playgroup leader, Kindy assistant, member of the Village people, Craft coordinator, Gymnastic and sport coach, Music program coordinator, SEA delegate, Gardener and Gardening coordinator, Class Teacher and College member.
