Hello and welcome to Kindlehill.
Kindlehill is a Steiner Kindy to Senior School; a stone’s throw to the beautiful lake in Wentworth Falls. Our school, built by hand is a place of beauty and wonder. Our curriculum centres children and young people’s development, ensuring that we nourish the whole person.
Students are immersed in an education which prioritises local heritage, history and cultures. It focusses on local landscapes, opportunities and experiences as a foundation for the development of the love of learning in English, Arts, Science, Maths, Technology, and Humanities.
A touchstone of connection to place is a culture of love and reverence for our natural world. Through a focus on experiential learning children and young people play, garden, hike, explore and camp in the local places. Students learn the skill and art of deep observation of their world. The lake, the mountains, the valleys, the creeks and the multitude of creatures that inhabit these worlds are an endless source of inspiration and focus for our deep learning. This is Learning that imagines and inspires kinder, brighter and sustainable futures.
In High School and Senior School, it’s time to address the contemporary concerns of our time and place, while building connections that will enable powerful change. This develops the thinking and moral compass that supports the restoration of local and planetary well-being.
Community is important at Kindlehill. Our School is a vibrant hub that fosters connection between students, families and our local community. We recognise the pivotal role that schools play in developing a deep sense of belonging for our students and their families. Our School provides important encounters between people, ideas and values that strengthen and develop social cohesion.
I’m looking forward to welcoming you and your family to be a part of the Kindlehill Community.
