Rural Australians for Refugees Short Film Competition National Winners, November 2020

November 11, 2020

Back in March, Class 9/10 Technology students produced one-minute films for a Rural Australians for Refugees competition with the brief ‘Changing hearts and minds towards refugees’. The students formed small groups and quickly produced a variety of outstanding films that were submitted just as we went into lockdown. Kindlehill is thrilled to announce that this national film competition was not only won by our students, but also achieved equal second place!

Congratulations to first prize winners Kasper, Mas and Vince for their film, ‘I Am Australian’, and to second prize winners Stella and Anna for their film, ‘Our Story’, and Lucy for her animation, ‘The Final Wave’. On Friday 6 November, Joy Connors from the Blue Mountains Refugee Support Group visited Kindlehill to award the students with certificates and prizes. Click on the links below to view each film.
