Geography

December 18, 2020

How can we develop a worldview that respects ecological limits and values the diversity of how people live in different environments? Through our Geography studies the students cultivate a sense of wonder for the beauty and richness of our world. They are also equipped with the tools to make positive contributions as earth citizens, to a fairer and more sustainable life for all.

A special feature of Geography at Kindlehill is the Geography Camp. In Year 7-8, students spend two weeks exploring the diverse environments of NSW. In Year 8 -9 they visit the Great Barrier Reef and experience the interrelationship of life on our planet firsthand, as well as the impacts of climate change and the polluting of our oceans. In Year 9-10, students experience traditional village life on an island in Vanuatu. They experience a culture and way of life very different to their own and gain real understanding of how the choices we make in our society impact on those in the Pacific.
